No Foolin' - April is Community Banking Month!

by Jen Novotny | Mar 31, 2017

Tomorrow is April 1, and we know that means you might encounter some April Fool's Day jokes, but what is NO JOKE, is that April 1 also marks the beginning of Community Banking Month! This year is especially meaningful because we are celebrating 110 years as an independent, community bank. Only five percent of community banks have been in business for more than 100 years, and First National Bank is one of them!

We have some fun activities in April to celebrate YOU. You'll want to make sure you pick up an activity card so you can participate in our MasterCard® gift card giveaway. Each branch will be giving away three $110 gift cards! You can pick up the activity card in the branch, or download the activity card here. You’re invited to participate even if you’re not a current customer. Read the official contest rules. And don't forget to check out our full calendar of events!

We encourage you to think about where you bank and how your money has the power to make a meaningful impact on our community. From local farms to craftsmen to startups, banking locally with a community bank connects you to your community and your neighbors, and gives everyone a stake in its financial success.

If you're not a current customer, stop by First National Bank in Hartford, Richfield or Slinger to discuss your financial situation and learn how a community bank can help you realize your financial dreams — and contribute to a more vibrant and sustainable economy in your community.
