Wendy S. Christenson
Vice President / Branch Manager
My focus is on mortgage, home equity, and consumer lending. With 25 years in banking, I truly enjoy working with people and strive to build strong and lasting relationships with my customers. My approach is casual, but I am very committed to making the loan process as simple and stress free as I possibly can. I believe in giving my customers personal attention and great customer service every step of the way.
I have been a resident of the Slinger/Hartford area all of my life. I am proud to work for a local Community Bank which has such strong support of the community that I live in.
I am involved in the Richfield Lions Club and Slinger Advancement Association.
"I enjoy the opportunity to meet new people and develop long-lasting relationships. Whether it is a new home purchase or construction, a refinance, or any other type of financial transaction, I am dedicated to helping each and every one of my customers enjoy their experience by offering them the personal service they deserve."
I am proud to have over 30 years of experience with a locally owned community bank where our focus is always on providing excellent customer service with a personal touch. I enjoy living and working in the Hartford and Slinger communities and taking part in many community activities and events. I have been a part of the American Cancer Society Hartford/Slinger Relay for Life planning committee for many years, serving as the Survivorship Chairperson. I find great reward in being able to do my part to help and support our great community!
Mortgage and Commercial Lending
“Being a commercial, residential, and consumer lender with a locally owned community bank allows me many opportunities to develop growing banking relationships on an individual basis. Treating a person as an individual rather than just another number has always been my goal because I know that together we will find a way to get the proper results.”
I was born and raised in Hartford, moved to the east coast for a period of time, and came back to the Hartford community in 1994. I am a long time Ambassador Club member with the Hartford Area Chamber of Commerce, have been involved in several musical/theater productions with the Hartford Players, and enjoy sharing my singing gift at the First United Methodist Church whenever possible.

"My passion is in trying to meet my customer's financial needs and the needs of my community, both personal and business and establish an enjoyable relationship along the way."
I have been a proud member of the Slinger Community since 1971. I have been in the banking industry since 1979 when I started as a teller and since have worked in every department of the bank. Retail lending is my specialty but, working in a branch location I have the opportunity to wear many different hats, which I really enjoy. I am a longtime member of the Slinger Advancement Association where I am able to donate my time helping out at many community events. I am also on the Board of Directors for the Slinger Housing Authority.
I was born and raised in Hartford and been in banking since 1999. I earned my MBA in Integrated Management from DeVos Graduate School of Management (Midland, MI) and am a graduate of Northwood University (Cedar Hill, Texas). I am also a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at UW-Madison. I enjoy developing personal relationships with my clients and helping them plan for the future. It is rewarding to see business owners and their families be successful as a result of their personal commitment and hard work.
I am involved with several local non-profit organizations, serving on the Board of Directors for Economic Development / Washington County (ED/WC), United Way of Washington County, Hartford B.E.S.T, and ALS Association – Wisconsin Chapter, and the Medical Center Foundation of Hartford. I am also an active member of the Slinger-Allenton Rotary Club.

Shortly after graduating I completed my MBA through Concordia University- Mequon. I also recently graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at UW-Madison.

Vice President/Commercial Officer
I have been in the banking industry for over 30 years now and have seen a lot of changes, both good and bad, during this time. The past 17 years has given me the opportunity to work closely with business customers from varied industries. I pride myself in getting to know a business thoroughly so that I can determine the best plan of action in meeting their financial needs. One of the best things that I have learned during my tenure in banking is that people get the best banking service from a true community bank such as First National Bank of Hartford. I’m happy to call First National Bank Hartford “my home away from home”.
I am a life long resident of Southeast Wisconsin having graduated from Pius XI High School in Milwaukee and then graduating from the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee. I also attended the Graduate School of Banking in Madison Wisconsin where I was able to hone my banking skills; to better serve the communities that I work in.
I look forward to earning both your respect and business as I work with you and for you in reaching your desired goals.
